The Boston Globe seems amazed that people live in “small” spaces.
Their “Globe Home of the Week” this week is a 736+/- square foot single-family home in Dedham, Massachusetts. They call it “Pint-size life”.
Life can be lived on a small scale, and this house, with just 736 square feet, proves it.
OMG. 736 square feet?? That would be luxury to many of Boston’s residents who have to make do with studio and one-bedroom apartments from 300 to 700 square feet – and many do it with partner, baby and/or dog in tow.
The home in Dedham seems quite nice … it has a cute backyard enclosed with a picket fence and with shade provided by an old oak tree, a small patio, and an unfinished basement with laundry. All for the bargain price of $235,000 (or about half what it would cost you to buy a condo of similar size in the South End).
Clicking through on the Globe story allows you to vote on the question: Could you live year-round in a home this small?
Could I?? I DO!

Earth to Keith. Hundreds of thousands of people do *not* own detached single family homes in the suburbs that are this small. That’s what made the item unique.
How can you call yourself a real estate agent and not know this?
