Massachusetts fails to see bank failures

We’re doing pretty damn good, wouldn’t you say? No Bank of New England, this time! (Click on image to enlarge.)

The number of bank failures in Massachusetts is barely a blip on the screen compared to other states in the country. A total of 165 banks have failed since the beginning of 2008. Many were in California, Florida, Illinois / Michigan / Ohio, and in Texas. (The biggest, of course, was in Washington – Washington Mutual.) Few, if any, were in New England.
